A little bit of miscellaneous information about me. I was born in Santa Monica, grew up in Arizona, and returned to California after graduating from Arizona State University in 2003. I moved to Houston (my current city) in 2017 to pursue my first technical writing job.

I have an extremely eclectic selection of hobbies; I still do art (traditional and digital), read voraciously, and still find time to play video games. I made extra money in college by painting Warhammer miniatures and still enjoy the modeling hobby in my free time (I am a multiple gold medal winner in the annual ReaperCon MSP Open painting competition).

I’m passionate about learning new things, and I have taught myself how to wire LEDs and EL wire, different styles of leatherworking, chainmail (armor, not email), and I occasionally dabble in costuming and clothing alterations. I have also been known to set up basic WordPress sites in a single evening using nothing but the free themes and plugins available.

I share my space with two impossibly sweet rescue cats named Cole (aka “The Beeper”) and Zeus, and have accepted the fact that cat hair is a permanent part of my daily wardrobe.
